Final Workshop on Subnational Cooling Action Plan (SCAP) – Gurugram

The Celestial Earth (TCE), in collaboration with the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) and Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation (SSEF), successfully hosted the Final Workshop on the Subnational Cooling Action Plan (SCAP) for Gurugram on Monday, 19th May 2025, at the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi.

The workshop began with a welcome address by Dr. Tania Ray Bhattacharya, Founder & CEO of TCE, who highlighted the vision behind SCAP and the importance of sustainable cooling in urban development. Mr. Vivek Saxena, PCCF, Government of Haryana, delivered the inaugural lecture, offering valuable insights into the region’s climate priorities.

The event featured an engaging panel discussion with industry experts: Mr. Piyush Sharma (GIZ), Mr. Pramod Kumar Mishra (BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd), Mr. Tanmay Tathagat (EDS Global), Mr. Venu Gopal Mothkoor (NITI Aayog), Mr. Vikas Mehta (Tabreed), Mr. Satvik Jain (Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation), and Ms. Sakshi (Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation). Their insights contributed richly to the dialogue on sustainable urban cooling strategies.
