The International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) featured The Celestial Earth’s contribution as part of this year’s International Day for Biological Diversity celebrations under the global theme “Acting Locally for Global Impact.”
Our submission showcased The Celestial Earth's awareness generation and capacity-building initiatives undertaken in support of the Haryana Forest Department's water conservation efforts in Nuh District, Haryana. The initiative demonstrates how locally driven actions, community participation, and ecosystem stewardship can contribute meaningfully to biodiversity conservation and sustainable natural resource management.
The recognition by IPSI highlights the importance of collaborative, place-based approaches in addressing global environmental challenges. By empowering communities and promoting sustainable practices, local initiatives can create lasting impacts that extend far beyond regional boundaries.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) for providing a global platform to showcase locally rooted initiatives that contribute to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
