Decarbonizing Odisha's Economy: Regional CGE–MESSAGEix Analysis of a Coal-Rich Indian State

This study integrates Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) and MESSAGEix models to assess Odisha's transition towards net zero. The findings demonstrate that renewable energy deployment, combined with energy efficiency and productivity improvements, can support sustainable economic growth while generating employment opportunities in a coal-dependent economy.
