The Celestial Earth Participates in National Seminar on Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS)

Dr. Tania Ray Bhattacharya, Founder & CEO of The Celestial Earth, along with team member Ms. Sayanee Das, participated in the National Seminar on Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) in India, organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in New Delhi on 17 June 2026.

The seminar brought together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and technology experts to discuss the role of CCUS in supporting India's transition towards a low-carbon economy. The Chief Guest, Shri Aadhar Raj, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power, Government of India, highlighted the Government's initiatives to promote CCUS across hard-to-abate sectors, including fertilizer, cement, steel, and coal-based power generation. He also outlined ongoing efforts to strengthen research and development and support project implementation through dedicated financial assistance.

Participation in the seminar provided valuable insights into India's evolving CCUS landscape and emerging policy directions. The discussions further reinforced The Celestial Earth's commitment to advancing research, supporting carbon market initiatives, and contributing to evidence-based solutions for climate mitigation and sustainable development.
