Gurugram City Cooling Action Plan 2025 Released

Gurugram, October 2, 2025 – The Gurugram City Cooling Action Plan 2025, prepared by The Celestial Earth (TCE), was formally released today during the State-Level Wildlife Week Celebration 2025 at Ram Mandir, Manesar, Gurugram.

The launch was graced by Sh. Bhupender Yadav, Hon’ble Union Minister, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India; Sh. Rao Inderjit Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI), Government of India; Sh. Rao Narbir Singh, Hon’ble Minister for Environment, Forest & Industries, Government of Haryana, along with several other eminent leaders and dignitaries.

The document presents a strategic framework for sustainable, energy-efficient, and climate-resilient urban cooling, aiming to address Gurugram’s rising cooling demand while setting a national benchmark for future-ready cities.

With a focus on passive and active cooling strategies, promotion of energy-efficient technologies, and district-level solutions, the Action Plan is envisioned as a model for other Indian cities seeking to balance development with environmental sustainability.
